Today has been a long day here at the farm. As usual we are up early to get ready for the market.
It's a beautiful day for the market, a nice fall breeze flows around with leaves blowing in the wind.
The market was nice with customers enjoying the weather without it being so hot you can't breath.
Lots of customers tasted our pumpkin cheese which has been brought back just in time for Thanksgiving. We bring this flavor of cheese out in October every year and only have it around until January 1st.
After we came home from the market it was cheese lifting time. 12 gallons of milk turned into cheese was lifted and now hanging in the cheese room. This cheese will be taken down tomorrow, flavored and packaged for the next market. Feta cheese will also be made tomorrow.
The girls are getting fat and sassy, it will not be long now before babies, we will not keep any babies this year. We want our yearlings to grow up more and be ready for milking.
We can heardly wait as babies are always fun!
See you at the markets!
Julie
